Rationale and Evaluation

Rationale

I want to create a clear, easy to use website which simply demonstrates my style of a work to the viewing public. I want it to be aesthetically pleasing and colourful. I want to have links to my myspace and blogger. I want my site to be easily navigated around and for each page to relate to one an another.

Evaluation

I am really pleased with how my website has turned out, I enjoyed designing all the pages. If I could change anything I would experiment with the container size so there wasn't a border around the actual page. I started working on new code with a different navigator menu which was vertical; I unfortunately ran out of time to make it work and look like what I wanted before the deadline. I am going to continue working on my website and adding new work. I would of liked to work more with image ready; I touched on it on the life drawing page as I have timed all the images to come up one after the other; i would have liked to experiment with fades.

I really want to learn flash and have more active sections to my website which will move and draw more attention to the pages. I am going to improve my CV page and have roll over sections on the areas with writing so when people click on the section they want to read, it will increase in size and the writing will be clearer and more legible.

I found getting and preparing all the images so they were the right size to be really time consuming and irritating and I felt the table function limited you to were exactly you could write on a page or have an image; it seemed to put them where it wanted within the table.

I am pleased that my site has a fully operational navigator menu which is present on all the pages and links to all the pages. I think people will find it easy to use.

As I continue to learn more about css and html I am going to try and work out how to have a comment box so people can leave comments under my work. I would like to use my site as a live source to recieve critiques from people I don't know.
